1. From the Groove app: Sign in, open your profile, go to Settings > Delete account. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm deletion.
2. If you cannot sign in, email privacy@grooveapp.me with subject "Account deletion request" and include the email address associated with your Groove account and the developer/app name: Groove.
3. After we receive your request we will verify your identity (typically by confirming access to the email on the account) and then process deletion. We aim to complete verifiable deletion requests within 30 days.

• Account profile data: name, email, birthday, profile photo, bio, city, and DJ profile details (genres, hourly rates, media you uploaded).
• Files you uploaded: profile photos, track/audio files, and gig photos/videos stored for your profile.
• Authentication records tied to your account (e.g., password or OAuth link) and device push-notification tokens.

Some records connected to bookings, messaging threads involving other users, and payment or transaction records cannot be fully deleted because they are required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons, or because they must remain accessible to the other party in a booking. In these cases we will:

• Remove personal identifiers and keep anonymized booking and message metadata so that the other party still has the necessary record for their own compliance or accounting.
• Retain payment and accounting records in anonymized form as required by law or our payment processors.

Deletion is applied to live systems as described above. Backups and logs may persist for a limited period; such copies are typically purged within 30 days. Anonymized accounting records may be retained for up to 7 years where required by law.

Verified deletion requests are normally completed within 30 days of verification. If additional verification or legal hold is necessary (e.g., ongoing investigation, legal dispute), deletion may be delayed and you will be informed.
